I just got Readplease to work in Linux MInt 11 after installing the program WINE. Next I downloaded Readplease and ran the file through WINE. It installed a Readplease icon on my desktop. I dragged and dropped it onto the task bar and it launches Readplease with a single click. After experimenting I discovered if you paste and copy your data into LiberOffice Writer first that Readplease reads it perfectly. Lots more garbage characters in Readplease in Mint under WINE if you don't do that first.

Is there any limit to how much text you can past in? I been using readplease which only works in windows XP and looking for something similar that works in Linux. I just wish it would highlight the text as it reads it the way readplease and reading bar do.

Yeah! Finally another person who doesn't like Ubuntu 9.10!

Actually Ubuntu 9.10 is great right now. It had a couple bugs when it was first released/

I tried Ubuntu 9.10 when it was first released. I really, REALLY liked some of the simplicity changes to it. Unfortunately, PulseAudio did not like me. Many of the applications that I depend on do not work well or at all with PulseAudio. This led to me frequently uninstalling/killing it just to get audio working in certain applications. This frequent killing of PulseAudio made my system unstable, and crashed 9.10. At that point, I had had enough. I am using 9.04 now. No problems!

Yeah pulseaudio is still work in progress it still needs alot of work. By the way I just lunched a new website for the Linux community to get answers to their questions and discuss open source topic check it out - maybe you can sign up if you like ;)

have you tried connecting with no encryption? if it works after you do that experiment with different types of encryption just don't use WEP because it's not secure.
