I think you're right. My Sapphire HD 3650 runs pretty hot even when idle. But I don't care as it does what it should do.

Depends. They are pretty much the same. However, Sapphire from ATi gives very cheap cards which last forever and give awesome performance.

yes you drffinatly could play fear 2 on maxed or near maxed graphics, also depends of ur cpu and ram, but my cousin has the 4850 and plays it all the time. but im not a ATi fan so yeah, do research and look at reviews of the card.
