@BlackStarRT They're speaking in Latin. Ave Maria is Latin for Hail Mary. Latin is the official language of the Catholic Church, and for centuries upon centuries has been used in the liturgy (the Tridentine Latin Mass, which is the traditional Catholic Mass, is said in Latin). Pieces such as this Ave Maria are sung as part of the Latin Mass, and in some of the more traditional Masses in English. In fact, our parish choir (for the Latin Mass) sang this exact piece a few weeks ago!

Muchas voces para cantar esto, supongo que por ser un concierto lo habrían incluido en el programa pero por lo normal lo conveniente seria cantar Victoria con la mitad de vocalistas!!! por una sencilla razón musical: la expresividad y el texto que con tanta gente (más común en la época romántica con Beethoven por ejemplo) no se entiende y esto era esencial. Sin embargo, si habéis hecho un gran trabajo interpretativo y estilistico y se nota buena técnica en el empaste de las voces que no es facil
