  • I'm curious what cause the officer had to use a K9 unit in the first place. Sounds suspicious to be riding with a K9 for traffic stops. Indications are not fool proof & certainly should not be used in everyday traffic stops if there is no suspicion of fool play other than the K9 saying it needs to piss. Feels like more conditioning of citizens to me. Suspicion of guilt until proven innocent, unless you play along and let me take away your rights...

  • @samoanpunch I was pulled over by a K-9 officer working allegedly "routine" patrols. Suspicious? OF COURSE!

  • @FrenchFryKayak whats unconstitutional? nothing this officer did broke the constitution. you need to read is more carefully and then compare it to municipal, state, and federal law and how it plays into the authority of police. you have freedom of speech, does that really mean you can legally say whatever you want? NO! stop being a strict constructionist and start applying the constitution to the law. guy had every right to CLEARLY refuse a search. did he? NO!

  • @jorgec5151 not true at all. depends what you call "exercising your constitutional right" this guy was verbally combative (although not disrespectful) which probably led the officer believe that something was suspicious. if the guy kept his cool and simply said he didn't consent to any searches he might not have been patted down and detained. most cops aren't out their to hassle you, they just want to make arrests on law breakers. obviously this cop thought he was onto something.

  • @chieftp he was only fucked if he had broke the law. if i were him i would tell the officer clearly that i do not consent to any searches instead of blabbering about your constitutional right. even if im not breaking the law and know for a fact that i don't have anything in my car i would never give consent to a search as i hope nobody else would. if they want to walk the k9 around then let them do their job.

  • @swatcapt11 exactly, and there maybe a reason why they are concentrating k9 units in a given area. selective enforcement in a known drug area is one reason why k9 cops are doing regular traffic stops. cop didn't do anything wrong.

  • @bundangbear thats what he told you? what was the reason he stopped you? k9 cops maybe doing selective enforcement on known drug areas. nothing suspicious really. that would be my assumption. if a cop wants to walk a k9 around my car because i broke the law in a high drug area, id let the man do his job.

  • @samoanpunch the officer can decide to pull out the K9 just based on the persons demeanor. if i were a cop, i would have done the same exact thing based on how this guy was acting. based on everything i saw in the video, the cop didn't do anything wrong. i don't believe the officer contradicted himself either. the officer was simply trying to state he doesn't need a warrant if the k9 hits on something outside the car. based on how the guy was acting, he wanted to call in permission

  • Cop has every right to pat you down for weapons to ensure his own safety. You can argue the validity of K9 indication, but that is enough to warrant a search in the eyes of the law. You kept saying you were under arrest when in fact you were just being detained. The officer should have explained that to you but it seems like you really don't know your rights. Not siding with the cop, I'm just pointing out what the cop is allowed to do. You should really get a handle on this before mouthing off.

  • @clownlove1977 because they can just like anybody else can get you number and run it

  • @samoanpunch not suspicious at all. Alot of PD has K9 officers on patrol almost every PD in my county has one

  • @jorgec5151 not exactly. if he had consented, it would have made it just as east to arrest him, and even easier for them to prosecute. the police' goal is to arrest and incarcerate as many warm bodies as possible. this guy was fucked the second those blue lights came on.
