The problem with thin backed vinyl is that the backing is not strong enough to pull itself off the graphic when using the Big Squeegee. I have added masking to the backing of these graphics so that the backing comes off better.

The masking tapes we had on hand to test were Clear Choice, Conform, Main tape and TransferRite. Paper tapes added very little to stiffen up the backing. Clear Choice and Conform both worked well for this.

  • @bharris134 The mounting material is Coroplast(corogated plastic). It will be difficult to match the white wall with white vinyl. I think it will be obvious and perhaps not desireable. It may be better to have the logo printed on clear and cut around the outside of the graphic.

  • what is it that you are mounting to? I got a vinyl custom logo made thats very ornate with this lines coming off of it. im trying to mount it to a regular painted sheet rock wall. is this doable? i need a backing because the vinyl is white and my wall is white.
