On-board footage from first round of Club100 2009 Open Endurance Series on newly bored-out 115cc TKM 'Extreme' engines on last year's Birel chassis around Buckmore Park. A great circuit with the changes in level and blasting up and down the hill.......RM ;-)

  • Nice clean aggressive driving. Buckmore is not too far from me and it is on my to do list.

  • Thanks - I always try to race as hard as I can - but absolutely fair. When it's a 3hr enduro - there's always time to plan your move - rather than going for a gap that isn't there.........Buckmore is great because of the hill - a rare kart track that didn't start out as an airfield! Unless you're a lightweight driver - try and do it in a 2-stroke kart - as you'll have much more fun going down the hill and plenty of poke to get you back up again! You will enjoy it for sure - RM ;-)

  • Do they let you kerb like that at buckmoore??? They don't at milton Keynes

  • Club100 put cones out to keep you off the nasty kerbs (stop & go penalty if you knock them over) - but if there's no cone you can run them.........They give you a warning at main flag post if you take the mickey though...........RM ;-)

  • nice vid! how long you been racing? i love buckmore and im thinking of doing either dmax or club next year!

  • I went here last night for a 9.45 session for like a 30-45 minute race and it was my first time and such a blast, the track was amazing and after a while i got used to it and set some really good lap times, i think my best lap was a 52.368 which was 4th best and everyone was slightly abuve 52 seconds. So Im definitely going back again. :)

  • @bagno31 it's fairly expensive, but it's perfectly good value compared with other karting venues, especially as it's such a good track! You can do 30 minute practice sessions for £49 normally.

  • i went there its like 10 pounds cant remember what for a rae or something

  • Yo, im15 and i was wondering if karting like this is expensive? :)

  • That was awesome, very clean and fast! Im going there tomorrow, i learnt a lot from your vid.

  • Im doing the arks test tomorrow any advice? Would really appreciate it! :)

  • Good driving, I havn't been karting in about a year and a half, miss it so much! Hope to be back on after my broken ankle's healed :)

  • Dear god I miss karting :(

Did it up until 13, then I had to go to boarding school with saturday school, I know Jack Aitken managed to keep going, but tbh I was never as quick as him so it was harder to justify :D

Hopefully when I'm older I'll get a chance to get back into it, I was watching the Suzuka F1 earlier, sorely miss the anticipation of being on the grid, nothing quite like it!

  • Hi - You pit in endurance racing for fuel and driver changes but not in Sprint racing - where you have heats and then finals. You will be best to start with sprint racing as the races are short - which is easier on your arm muscles until you get used to it - and if you mess up in one heat you can do better in the next. Most circuits have Junior races you can do on their karts until you can try the Senior machines when you are 16. Give it a go - its great fun! RM ;-)
