Cody is playing some jazz on my C melody saxophone..Very cool instrument from the 20's in the key of C. Somewhere between an alto and a tenor sax is this cool instrument that can play along with guitar or piano without having to transpose. Nice sound for such an old horn as you can hear.
It looks like the image is filmed in a mirror, unless this C-melody is build for left-handed players.
However, this sounds good . . Is it a Lyon & Healy-c-melody?

This looks like my Buescher C-melody that I just had rebuilt. The Conn horns arre shaped like an alto, while the Bueschers have the tenor style neck. Cody- everybody wants to hear more! Give us more to inspire the rest of us!

@Mrbr0w There's a Contrabass in Eb and a Subcontrabass in Bb which was never made, but there are Bb Subcontrabass Tubaxes made recently. Soprano Sax would be best for trumpet music considering it has the closest range.

@BonJoviRocksMan or bass or contrabass if he wanted to because they 2 are in Bb

@golfplaya9325 only if you transpose. The C Melody is pitched in the key of C, same key as Flute, Keyboard, Piano, Organ, Guitar, Oboe, Bassoon, Mallet Percussion, etc. The trumpet is in Bb, so if you want to play trumpet music I suggest using a tenor or soprano.
