PS22 Chorus 2008 PRIVATE UNIVERSE by Crowded House

A new song for the chorus and another three-rehearsal accomplishment. This is one of my favorite songs from way back in college by Crowded House, the amazing group best known for their smash hit from the eighties, "Don't Dream It's Over". I actually first heard "Private Universe" when Shawn Colvin covered it brilliantly at a concert in New York City. I bought the album and just fell in love with it and particularly this song. Neil Finn's voice (lead singer of Crowded House)is just awesome, and Kareem does a great job on the vocals! This is just a fantastic song that was just screaming for the chorus to sing it!

I really need to know how you get the kids to KNOW their individual parts and THEN accompany them ONLY on the guitar. (played well, incidentally). You know I love your arrangements ... but what you need to do is think about giving some workshops! (Or, maybe I could just visit sometime:))

Nice job, agreggofsociety. That was really amazing! Tell the kids they did an amazing rendition of the song. It's nice to see Neil's songs living on in ways he never imagined - gives me hope for his longevity. Cheers and thank you.
