I'd like to thank the owner of this car for talking to us so graciously. I didn't get his name, but wherever he is, thanks. Maybe we'll see him at a future Supercar Sunday.

After Supercar Sunday this week, we happened across this De Lorean in the parking lot.

I want one because they're so iconic and you get gullwing doors included for $20k...

Jeff er...doesn't

  • I am seriously considering getting this car. I DON'T CARE about anything that the naysayer guy was saying XD. I'll admit it could be more practical but who cares! It's the nostalgia that it brings. And I'll admit I am not in it for the movie thing (just a little :) ) but just to have it you know and I am SOOOOO excited to get it. HOW COOL WOULD IT BE TO OWN THE ACTUAL CAR!!!! :) And im not even from the 80's :)

  • @SwagKing1996

It's just his schtick. I would definitely have one if there weren't about a thousand other more important things on my list.

There's a lot of support for DMC owners now, lots of aftermarket parts , owners' clubs etc. You go for it.

  • Cool thing about Delorean owners, is they take the time to chat with you.

  • Wow, I was surprised to find this clip! (That was me/my car.) They're not for everyone, but they have an interesting history, and are fun to own. A few tidbits:

    - Not fast (0-60 8.5 sec.), but still fun.

    - Engineering was by Lotus.

    - Styling was by Giugiaro (Esprit, Golf/Scirocco, Maserati Bora/Merak)

    - Delorean was acquitted of drug trafficking due to entrapment. (When he tried to back out of the deal, the undercover FBI agent threatened to murder his daughter.)

    Get one! Cheers!

  • This is without a doubt my dream car above anything else.

Beautiful cars back in the 80's and still today. Not a fast car but it makes up for it with its pure awesomeness. It makes me want to punch a person in the face when they call this car ugly, or make fun of it because of its speed. I'd take this car over a new Corvette. Thumbs up if you believe the same.

  • yeah man, I remember the 1980s...it sucked when it was happening, why would I wanna go back?!? My dad's best friend had a Delorean, I remember when I first started driving (2001) I was thinking about buying one & I asked him & he said "DON'T YOU DARE!!! That car was a piece of garbage, that's why I traded it in on a 1990 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo" & Continued by saying "John DeLorean Financed his whole car company on Cocaine Trafficking, they just weren't practical in ANY WAY. the 300ZX Still Runs

    47. That's my voice in the video. Any 12 year old who can express himself as I do deserves some kind of award. Perhaps a scholarship to a school for the gifted.

You, on the other hand, appear to have the language skills of a four year old.

  • @geffel yur 12 arent ya

  • @ReaperScope13

That's an interesting random collection of words. I wonder how these could be rearranged to form a coherent sentence...
