it is designed for working people. not for the faint of hearts. if you need something light just to show off to others at starbuck, buy a MBA and save $2000. But if you need a work horse to make money, there is no compromise here. if you are cheap, don't even think about a mobile station, buy a cheap desktop and save $3k. if you are college students, don't waste money on computer except an ipad.

@JBCalander Don't waste your money. For Catia/autodesk/rhino, you need to be running a dedicated 2-gig graphics card, i7 4-core + 8 threads (more if you want to be running CS5 along side!), and 16-gigs of ram... and liquid cooling. Get a work station at home, and an ipad to watch movies on an airplane. Don't waste your money trying to build a CAD laptop. They burn out ever six months.

The design isn't exciting at all, yet this is such a big feature. Whatever. How about a system that could actually last more than 3 years?
