2 day hammock camping trip up to Heather Lake in Washinton's Snoqualmie National Forest February 26th, 27th 2011. Lot of snow and wind. Avalanche warnings and winter storm warnings..
First night using a Hennessy Super Shelter.. over night temps in the mid 20s.

  • @thelister4910 Military ponchos have a liner. It can be modified easily for use in cold weather as a under-quilt for a hammock. Cheep and easy..

  • What did you guys sleep in to stay warm in the hammocks? Was it worth dragging stuff in sleds or would a pack have been better?

  • @thelister4910 because the trail was narrow and heavily used, a backpack would have been better on this trip. We have used the sleds other times on more open trails and had no problems.. The Hennessy Super Shelter, poncho liner and my 20 degree bag was all I used. Well and my thermal undies.

  • That was great I don't always watch the videos on HF can't do full screen , looked like fun pulling the sleds and dodging the wind blown snow. Nicely done guys.
