If you look at classic cartoon blogs and sites people keep trying to classify "Pedro and Lorenzo." Is it a a musical, art or sentimental cartoon? I think that sentimental is the best description but the sentiment here is loyalty. The people who made P & L knew exactly what they were doing. All over America baby-boomer children cried when parents got rid of their beloved pets. This cartoon promises reunification and redemption.
The plots and gags you see in most bullfight cartoons, made by those old Hollywood studios, are pretty repetitive but this could be the only example in which the bull "saves" the matador from an angry crowd by taking a dive. Lorenzo, the bull, produces a sad groan (5:03 -5:06) if you tun up the sound.
