@bigboi2798354 Actually it was 96-97 that ND drubbed LSU in the regular season and LSu got revenge in the Independence Bowl. THIS game was 1998, my freshman year. Remember it vividly. I had a view right behind the line of scrimmage for that crazy Faulk fumble that sealed it for us. AWESOME game. Faulk is awesome, but we fortunately got this game. I think LSU finished with another 5 or 6 losses in 98. They shouldn't have though - that backfield was great.

i remember watching this game. there was like 5 or 6 blocked kicks. best game i've ever seen, seesaw back and forth the whole entire game.
i'm from iowa, but kevin faulk turned me into a tiger fan. i remember herb tyler as the qb also.

actually this was in southbend 1998. LSU lost 39-36. But the previous yr, LSU lost in Tiger Stadium then went on to beat ND in the Indepdence bowl and Rondell Mealey ran for like 220 yards and LSU won by about 27-6. I was there. Flurries! Geaux Tigers!
to bad LSU beat the crap out of Notre Dumb in the bowl game the same year
