and my interpretion is just my opinion btw and its most likely wrong ! baha

well i always thort that it was sumthing else.. obviosly its good to be controled by the spirit but thort sumthing else..i thort it was loosin control as in cryin and loosin control that way coz in one point of my christian faith i wasnt spending enough time with God repenting of my sin ect. so when i finally came back to him i cried all the time lol. this went on for about a month until i finally got it right. thats wat the line means to me but only coz of personal experience

Same here! you know ive tryed so hard to blend in to the world, not to bring attention to myself. but that not what jesus is asking of me. WE THE CHURCH, ARE CALLED TO BE SEPRATED AND HOLY, JUST AS OUR GOD IS HOLY. *the holy spirit speaking thur and to me, maybe u too.

I would love to hear what the band says about the meaning of the line, "how close can I get to my surrender without losing all control". I thought the idea was TO lose all self(ish) control and be controlled by the Spirit. Or maybe they're being facitious/sarcastic? Ideas?

That where im right now, somewhere in the middle. NO! you are right! being controlled by the spirit and to deny oneself is what their and jesus is talking about. man as im typeing im being convicted about lukewarmness...Jesus have mercy on me.

@kimdanet It is sarcasm, of sorts. Not in a negative way but this song reflects the prayers of so many of us. How can we be saved by God without disrupting our lives. You are right, surrender is the point but all of us spend so much time somewhere in the middle.
