@ptidunne And it is a beautiful song, however the tone used in "the tiochfaidh ar la types" is a denegration. I truly dont want to be argumentative or pig headed, i just have the utmost of respect for the Irish men who rose up against british rule in ireland and those where their words. To use them as term of negativity is personally insulting. I understand that you may not care but i felt i needed to explain this incase you are a person who cares about such things. I hope i cause no insult.

@kargwain187 I didn't denigrate anybody. This is an anti war song. If you listen to the words it is a lament for those who blindly follow a dream at the cost of their own lives.

@ptidunne If it wasnt for the people you speak of , you would be a slave just as your ancestors where. Its easy to speak for peace when you live in it. A peace hard fought by those who where willing to do so. People who gave themselves courage in the face of certain death by lamenting those words you denegrate. I dont mean to be argumentative, i just found your comment to be highly disrespectful and i do apologise if any offense was caused

I've been listening to this song for about 15 years, and still cannot do it without tearing up. Beautiful. Agree with the Irishboy67, it does not get any better than this.
