Clicker-training my kitten; Mao-mao

After receiving my clicker in my mail, I've put it to work by training my kitten, Mao-mao, on how to touch the target stick, sit and to give me her paw. She is responding well to the training and this is her best performance yet, with some distracted moments of hers in between.

my kitten has sharp nails as all kittens do.. and i dont wanna cut them... whenever she is shaking hands or playing with me with her hand i get scratched wat to do

@tukun3104 My kitty has sharp nails too but normally, he bites me more than he scratches. What I do is to just get a toy and give it to him to bite/scratch to avoid getting injured. But it's best to teach your kitty that scratching its owner is not allowed though.

It's not exactly hard to train her but you need to have patience. All you need to do is to let her associate her acts with getting rewards or treats so that she wants to repeat that behavior again to "work" for the treats. :D

Nice!!!!! :) I'm so impressed! She is such a smart girl. I wish my cats can do that.... Haha! I like the "paw paw" part. It's cute. ;p Why not start training your kitten to use the toilet (for humans)?? :p Who knows it may even work!

I've thought of the toilet training before but I guess that is a bit too challenging for me plus it will cause quite a bit of inconvenience for the entire family so I think I'll leave that out for now first... :S

I think your cats can do this too~ :D Just have to spend some time teaching them. My kitty is hardly 1 month into her training and she can do 3 commands already, provided I give her a reward. :D
