Millennium 4: The Age of Enlightenment

A musical tribute to the Renaissance period - the "Age of Enlightenment" - when science, technology and philosophy began to take giant leaps forward and ideas bloomed as never before (although some of these ideas had their roots in ancient Greece and Rome). Many more people and events could have been included, and may be included in a future extended version of this video. Any suggestions would be welcome. The video uses music from of the Millennium Suite by Bernard J. Taylor (see http://www.bernardjtaylor.com/Othermusic/OtrMillennium.html). This is one of six videos that look at the past Millennium through music and visuals.

The music is played by the State Opera Orchestra of Iasi, Romania, and orchestrated by Gareth Price.
