"Piney Brown Blues" by Texas Blues legend, Jimmy T-99" Nelson backed by Sean Carney & The Nite Owlz from October of 1995. Jimmy "T-99" Nelson - Vocals Sean Carney - Guitar Tommy Thomas - Piano Keith Koby - Upright Bass John Bird - Drums
Amazing that this is the only video on you-tube!! One of the most incredible shows that I have performed in my life in 1989 with Jimmy "T-99" Nelson and The Big Town Playboys in London at Queen Victoria hall. If anybody knows of pictures from that Evening I will pay a reward.
One of the real-deal "blues shouters"....may he rest in peace. So glad I got to see him perform live a few years ago at a jazz festival. He was in declining health, moved pretty slow, and needed assistance to/from the stage, but man...he still brought the house down.
....Joe Turner recorded it several times with both fast and slow tempos...
