Actress Tiffani Thiessen, star of the TV series White Collar, has taped a 30-second public service announcement (PSA) for WSPA to educate the public about reading labels on meat, poultry, eggs and dairy products to see which ones signify that animals were raised humanely. The PSA is running on both cable and network television stations across the U.S. market.
Way too smug!! Americans eat too many animals as it is, but they aren't going to stop. The question is what and whos land is going to be taken over to accomodate more humane practices? Unfortunately this ad only serves to infuriate people because she comes off as condescending and smug. Not to mention the fact that if I can buy $4 worth of chicken to feed my family of 4 as opposed to the $8 free range, organic grass fed bird, the choice isn't that tough.

the best way to get people to make better choices in the food they eat, for both physical health reasons as well as ethical reasons, is to have people MEET THEIR FOOD. and i mean all of it - not still photos but video. let em see where their food came from and the ENTIRE process it took to get to their dinner plate. this goes for produce and grains too. we could put factory farms, con agra and monsanto out of business if more people actually knew AND CARED to get educated to make better choices.

I agree with this cause, but she comes off really snotty in this video with the whole "maybe just a better one" stuff.

It's nice to see that they haven't taken the route of PETA and tried to force people into veganism. It'll never happen, honestly, BUT we can learn to be more humane in how we treat the animals we're using for food. The next thing we need to work on is making these products more cost-accessible so the poorest among us can afford them too.
