On April 27th, 2011, a massive storm system moved across the Southeast spawning devastating tornadoes in MS, AL, LA, TN and GA that killed more than 340 people. As a result of the devastation caused by these storms, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has received a number of mission assignments from the Federal Emergency Management Agency to assist with clean-up and recovery efforts. USACE's debris management mission within AL includes disposal of an estimated 3.5 million cubic yards of debris. This clip takes us to a neighborhood hard hit in Alabama.
