Took my SRB outdoors for the first time today. A slight breeze was blowing from behind, but it was fantastic to fly this little bird out in the park!

  • I just got one too, and I must say that it's easier to fly than my co-ax lama, yet more realistic! Good flying btw :)

  • Thanks! ;-) Yes, it's pretty smooth to fly, and once you get comfortable with it you should try the Expert settings for even more fun! ;-)

  • I love this heli, and we are whaiting to buy this in Spain, it´s so expensive, but realy must be seen to a extrem quality,my last hely it was the twister skylift coaxial tamdem but this QUARK is the best i suposse. Sorry to my english.

  • Thanks for watching! I also own a couple of Twister coaxial helicopters and I can assure you that quality and performance of the Quark are so much better - you will instantly forget the high price once you fly it! ;-)

  • Nice flight.

It's so windy where I live right now that outdoor flight with my Quark is a rare treat...

However when the wind is 7km/h or less it's really fun to fly outside. Except when the big wind gusts threaten to steal the helicopter away.

Turning on switch 4 makes a huge difference when it's windy and the advanced setting on the flybar also helps for wind flying. I find the quicker response with these settings very enjoyable.

  • Thanks for your helpful comment! Now I'm sure I will try these settings next time I'll go flying outside ;-)

  • There was a light breeze coming from behind me - too much for a coax heli (see other video), but nothing the Quark couldn't handle! Also this was my first outdoor flight so I took it a bit easier on the controls ...

  • Good! Did you have any wind?

As far as the setting don't change a thing, your doing well as is...

  • Thanks for watching! I still fly my Quark "out of the box" - no replacements, no mods, no nothing. I only adjusted pitch and tracking on the main blades as well as the throttle curve, which was a little off. Next time I might try the "Expert" setting on the control unit and see how it handles outside ...

  • Nice, I have logged like 10 hrs on mine but only indoors. So far replaced tail asambly and main gear plus 2+2 boxes of foam :)

What's your set up like for outside?
