I agree with what you say...but the vast majority of our troops will do what they are told and will go against the American populace. The wars we have fought in the last 50 years are proof of this...they fought illegal wars and violated their oath. The Constitution does not give the executive the right to wage indiscriminate wars and commit troops whenever he feels like it. The Constitution is very precise in what steps must be taken in order to wage war...we have not followed it!
