Coming from a guy - I was engaged to be married five years ago, everything was great up until that point. It went downhill right after getting engaged. We ended up breaking up and it was a terrible one. Now I realize this is meant for girls, but from a male's perspective, the best thing is stay single for a while. In fact what I did was went into seclusion for about a year, taking that time to learn a lot about myself. It was the best thing I ever did; by the end of it, I was a new person.
