My first car was a Mk4 Cortina 1.3L in the mid 80's, great to work on as there's lots of space in the engine bay. Starter motor's a doddle to change as well. The rubber void bushes used to go quite a lot on mine as I used to drive it like a lunatic, dare say there is an uprated replacement for those now.
Keep up the good work :)

Thank you for sharing...the 3 Ford cars i loved when i was growing up were The Lotus Cortina.. The Escort...and The Capri.....classic lines
No there is not really anydifference from a (L) To a Crusader body shell wise its just the trim and interior that is different its more business class if you know what i mean plus the Crusaders was the last to roll out the Ford Production line.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments i dont own this car anymore it got too much for me but it still does exist and is been drove so if anybody does see anything of ACX897Y let me know would love to how its doing. but as regards to the 2.3 V6 your best bet is the 3.0 liter essex v6 much stronger.
