"The present system is not sustainable and I am determined to wake up the educated idiots in DC," says social activist and USAF veteran Daniel E. Moore in his revolutionary, thought-provoking political protest song. His toe-tapping, country style anthem is destined to ignite a firestorm of global reform to a system that is set up to concentrate wealth and power. Check out my protest CD "Time to Play Politics" at http://cdbaby.com/danielmooreandmikestout.com Thanks for your support!!!

All you politicians out there in DC,
You better listen up to the land of the free,
We're all ticked off and madder than hell,
We're gonna start ringing our liberty bell.
Chorus:
Come on We the People, now don't be shy,
Cause we're all getting robbed,
And we're just getting by,
Let's all get together with our heads held high,
It's time we get a piece of the American pie.

Our nation's a mess and the debts out of sight,
And I'd like to know how you can sleep at night,
All you politicians with your fancy perks,
Do you really need to take a limo to work?
Now what kind of leader can you really be,
When you're all out of touch with reality,
You're out of your mind, you don't know what's real,
Do you ever worry about your next meal?
Chorus:
Come on We the People, now don't be shy,
Cause we're all getting robbed,
And we're just getting by,
Let's all get together with our heads held high,
It's time we get a piece of the American pie.

Well one things for certain and this is a must,
You better get together, start working for us,
Or pack up your bags and get off your butt,
Cause the American people says enough is enough.

We've gotta make a change, there's no other choice,
Let's stand together with one big voice,
If you really care about the American dream,
Come on and be on the American team.
Chorus:
Come on We the People, get out and make a wave,
I know we can do it, cause it's the land of the brave,
Come on all together, with our heads held high,
About time we get a piece of this American pie.

Jobs being lost, gone overseas,
And Daddy's laid off at 53,
Hey middle class now where did you go?
Done packed up and went to Kokomo.

All you politicians, I'm in a blind rage,
I'd like to see you living on minimum wage,
You're wasting our taxes on foolish stuff,
The American people says enough is enough.
Chorus:
Well come on People, we gotta make a wave,
I know we can do it, we're in the land of the brave,
Let's be all together with our heads held high,
It's time we get a piece of the American pie,
Let's all get together with our heads held high,
Cause we all want a piece of the American pie.

Please make sure to watch for the release of his CD entitled "Out of Control" and check out the credits at the end of the slide show. Dan comments,"Norm Kurland, a lawyer-economist and USAF Korean War veteran, is a visionary leader who has inspired me to challenge traditional ways of thinking about economics, people, profits and money." They both hope that politicians can find the courage to lead the way in changing the system by passing the Capital Homesteading Act in 2012.

  • Obama spending enough money for three drunken sailors! We can't go on like this.Anyway, the song is great! Thanks for sharing.

  • Please note that it takes two to tango. Both parties have brought the greatest nation on the planet to the brink of financial ruin. America is days away from an unprecedented default. Where is the public outrage? Where are the creative problem solvers in congress? All I hear is more of the same. Raise taxes, lower taxes and all is well. Give me a frickin' break. Move beyond keynsian theories now and create an environment that is conducive to job creation in the private sector!!!!!!!

  • To all who like to ask where were we Tea Party people during Bush. 14 trillion.

  • Not sure where all the tea baggers were when Bush was spending money like a drunken sailor. The truth is that both parties are unable to move beyond keynsian theories and are resistant to any meaningful reforms. This attitude, massive debts and overreach caused to the demise of the former USSR. Reagan's star wars and him calling the USSR and evil empire had little to do with the collapse. I hope that Americans start learning from history. Nah, let's just keep our heads in the sand...

  • Dear friend, The CHA is the best way forward for America and the rest of the world. Widespread acceptance will create a global economy that is more fair and just. These revolutionary initiatives, some of which require legislative action, will lessen the severity of disruptive boom and bust cycles. We must move beyond keynsian theories in order to ensure a sustainable recovery.

  • Just wondering where all this protest fervor was when Bush_Cheny were setting the stage and literally raping the country...

Where was the patriot fever when a bogus war was being started in Iraq and The Re-thuglicans were minding the shop for the fed and Wall St.and the middle class was suffering.

Or could it be you are veiling your protests under the Tea Bagger bullshit right wing hysteria?

  • Rich, I am an Independent swingvoter and I have been doing my best to sound the alarm since 2003 when I recieved a letter from Senator John McCain stating that the system is not sustainable. I do not follow self proclaimed prophet Glen Beck and the far right religious fanatics. People are not aware that the late Pope John Paul II talked with the Bush White House and tried to stop the Iraqi invasion. Kurland has an exit strategy for Afghanistan but Pres. Obama is playing stupid.

  • Part 2 America or the citizens are not perfect and we have made amends to allot of people. There are MANY things that have been done in her name that She / We are not responsible for and I don't feel inclined to Apologize for US. We know who and where the responsibilities lie. There are 545 plus people that we hire to run the country and they need to be reminded who signs their paychecks.

ANOTHER GREAT SONG FOR US FROM A FELLOW AMERICAN. PLEASE GET IT OUT FOR HIM AND US.

  • Didn't care that much for Bush but at least I was employeed. Going from bad to worse is no solution.
