Tim Zuidberg - New Cymbals - Sabian & Zildjian Comparison

Hey people,

It was time to replace my old Sabian B8 ride. So today i went to a local music-shop to try and buy a new ride. I noticed that they had a very attractive discount: All Sabian-cymbals were 10% cheaper, and when you buy a Sabian-cymbal from at least 16" you get 10" AAX Splash of free.

So, next to the new ride, i also got 2 new Sabian crashes and a free Sabian AAX splash.

Mijn persoonlijke favoriet is de 18" HHX Evolution crash, maar de AAX Stage crash klinkt ook zeker niet verkeerd!

A plasic little bucket felt in front of one of the spotlights. That plastic thing was in contact with the hot light and at the end of this video my whole room smelled like burned plastic..! :P

@75DrummerBoy They are obviously not the same at all whatsoever. Zildjian uses crappy machines to hammer their cymbals and as a result they don't sound good or last long at all. Sabian has more variety and have a different way of doing things. Everybody knows about the Sabian Zildjian branchoff. But they are nowhere near the same thing

You need a good crash that you can wash ride off. All of your crashed fade quickly, e.g. fast crashes, and I have some evolution's too and they are thing cymbals so they fade fast. I just got a Sabian 19" AAX X-Plosion crash, AMAZING! they project, good for constantly eighth notes off, and have a huge raw bell.
