On Monday 26 October 2009 at 4pm, a group of about 40-50 international and Israeli citizens, taking part in a tour organised by the Alternative Information centre visited the Palestinian neighbourhood of Sheikh Jarrah. Israeli police units summoned by the settlers occupying the Gawi family house, arrived at the scene and responded to what they claimed was an illegal demonstration by clearly disproportionate violence. In an attempt to disperse the crowd, the police arrested three participants of the tour - an Israeli rabbi, Yehiel Grenimann from Rabbis for Human Rights, a Greek diplomat, Tina Strikou and two international visitors.

@TheHellenicFire Very true. 1 million Greeks and Jews and Bulgarians and Armenians were expelled from today's Turkey from lands their ancestors inhabited for millenia. Most left with nothing but children in their hands. Most of them and their descendants are now extremely succesfull in their new countries. None of them protest, place bombs or blow themselves up. I feel sorry for the Palestinian people and my heart goes to them. But that's life.

Diplomats show their diplomat passport, they dont shout "i am a diplomat".

Israel is no better than any other country, they use their religion as a bad excuse for killing innocent palaestinians, I surely understand why many middle eastern countries dont like the so called Israel.

I am Greek and I have to say this: Israel is country and state WITH BALLS, they defend what they believe it is theirs with any means possible. Here in Greece we give everything to our enemies because of our traitor governments.
