  • I love hearing authors talk about their work, and I especially love hearing Terry Pratchett do so. Do you also have a clip of him being interviewed by Mark Lawson this September 1st (2008)?

  • oooh, I agree; I love listening to authors talking about their work. As for TP, well, I reckon he could talk about paint drying and it'd still be captivating!

But I'm sorry to say that no, I haven't got the latest Lawson clip. Hopefully someone will find & post it soon.

    All the best!

  • Magic is a bit too sparkly, I agree. Terry Pratchett is one of few authors who actually seem to understand witches, even most authors who are witches couldn't do better than him at writing about it.

  • all those in favor of The Wee Free Men becomeing a Movie/Manga/Anime

    say Ai!!!!

    (thousands of unseen voices) AI!!!!!!

  • i have to agree whole heartedly , the wee free men and hat full of sky make you laugh on your own ! and you dont care ! adore them both and mr pratchett for thinking and writing outside the box . x

  • Whilst I am not dissing any of Pratchett's books (cos they are all brill!) my fave has got to be Guards Guards, even though my favourite character is Granny Weatherwax

  • @Oreceo good omens is really...good. My favourites are fifth elephant and thud. Also have a big soft spot for witches abroad and last continent. Night watch is probably one of the best stories but not too funny. (no less good because of it though) i listen to the unabridged audio books a lot as i do a lot of driving and theyre perfect for long journeys.

  • red it in the cludgie!

  • I have to disagree. I don't think it's the best book he's ever written. It seems to be written on a simpler lever than his other Discworld books. Not surprising considering it's a young adult novel. But it tends to have less complex sentence structures and the various meanings usually aren't as deep. I think because of those reasons his regular Discworld books are better.

  • i want rob anybody on my bak
