Most Christians are not idiots or pathetic, because outside of the US most Christians accept evolution as scientific fact.
As an atheist I may believe they are deluding themselves, & that the extremely religious are extremely deluded, but to bracket all Christian as idiots is not reasonable, & surely atheism is should be an island of reasonable & rational thinking in a sea religious delusion.
