How to start a fire with a piece of lint, knife, flint. I also used a piece of birch wood and the bark. This is part one of two videos. Part two will consist of utilizing that pit fire by making a cooking grill, placing dead branches across the top of the pit. With the branches across on top will allow me to heat a cup of tea, and cook some food. My next video will be making a fire in the rain.

  • I agree with you about what your saying and like they say threr is more than one way to skin a cat. I alway's carry a blade sharpener. I do agree with and you are right. I do have a small shovel but I did not bring it with me when I made this video. Thanks for your input.

  • Your right they do pay well.

  • Why not pack a small shovel or etool to dig with instead of dulling up your blade and axe like that?

  • @solobackpacking Your right they do pay well.

  • did he have on night vision on the cam the entire time? lol

  • Notice the top of the line gear he is wearing in most of his videos?

I have a feeling he isn't worried about the longevity of that Axe.

The mob obviously pays well... I am jk, I have no idea what he does.

  • Nice video keep'em coming

  • Hey great vid. What part of the country are you in? I have trouble finding birch but it is repeatedly used in to start fires as it has so much resin content. I would love to find an area that has some so I could collect it and save it for occasions that I need to start a fire.
