Rebuild of Evangelion is a series of animated films that will remake the original anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion. It is being produced by Studio Khara and KlockWorx in partnership with Gainax. Hideaki Anno is writing the films and will serve as general director and manager for the entire project, with Kazuya Tsurumaki and Masayuki directing the films themselves. Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, Ikuto Yamashita, and Shirō Sagisu are returning to provide character designs, mechanical designs, and music respectively.
The intention is for the series to be four films, a tetralogy, with the first three films providing new scenes, settings, and characters as well as newly available 3D CG technology and the fourth presenting a completely new conclusion to the story. Another stated intention of the series is for it to be more accessible to non-fans than the original TV series and films were.

NOTE: Unlike my other videos, this is actually in 720p, whereas with my others, I just rendered in 720p because it's the easiest way to do fullscreen. And in case you're wondering why it's not 1080p, it's because most of the clips I used were 1080p, but some weren't and I didn't want to have both, I hate people who have both.
I made this using clips from Evangelion 1.11 and Evangelion 2.22, my sources are comprised entirely out of Youtube videos. Most of this was made possible by Funimation's habit of uploading tons of clips, especially with 2.22, it's just crazy.
And the song of course is Zack Hemsey - Mind Heist, from the Inception trailer.
This video is brought to you by Brawndo The Thirst Mutilator, it's got what Eva's crave, it's got electrolytes.

It makes me sad that if there ever is a live-action Evangelion movie, this fan trailer will be better than it could ever be. My only gripe with the trailer is the "SHINJI IKARI" in the middle of the whole crescendo... it seems out of place. It seems like peppering some kind of taglines through that sequence instead would be better... probably the best would be "GOD'S IN HIS HEAVEN." ... more scenes ... "ALL'S RIGHT WITH THE WORLD." ... and then on into the very end of the trailer.

@htsasele I agree with your criticism, at the time of making this I had been following the setup of the original Inception trailer and hadn't considered mixing it up and doing something original, though now I regret that.
