  • I also have broken ankle. I broke my ankle while skiing. But they removed stitches from my leg before placing plastic gypsum. How long you wearing gypsum ?

  • @banebanda I had mine for 1week after surgery. I move too much and they put it on just for protection. I drive around with my cast on, did not take a break from work :). I know i'm crazy :)

  • Thanks for sharing your video. I was wondering if there was any concern about infection while in the cast? I just had surgery and am to be in a slab splint for the next three weeks. It seems weird to me that they wouldn't check the incision regularly and was wondering about your experience. Thanks!

  • @sloman16 No infection at all. Just don't get it wet. i used to wear a trash bag every time I shower and seal it good with a tape :)

  • Oh That Must Hurt.... I had my ankle Broken in 2 places, May 15th 1998. Just before my sisters wedding! And Was Still sore AfterWards...

  • @blakkjack21 Same here. They don't bother me. In case they start bothering me, my doctor said he can remove them. I have an office mate who has hers for 19yrs now and never complained on any pain at all.

  • @mooshie65 I have 3 screws in my left ankle and they have been in there for 4 yrs. People who have screws told me that I'll feel it when it gets cold, but that has never been the case with me.

  • @magicman20001 It will get better everyday :)

  • @magicman20001 oh no! take it easy magicman. if you have a walking boot, use it with one crutch. as much as possible don't put a lot of pressure on it. you going to need physical therapy as well. that helps me a lot. it hurts the first couple of sessions, but stay with it and you'll be back to walking normal again. after 2 months of therapy, i went bike riding with no problems. good luck and take it easy.

  • @magicman20001 after cast off, my foot feels numb. I still used crutches and walking boot. it takes awhile to get use to walking normal again.
