nice work on the riff, but for it to become stoner-usable, you need to speed down that piece,dude... like..waaay down :D try ~30bpm slower.. then if you add a supporting baseline with a simplified version of your riff, and some sweet drummin underneath that, you'll get there.. but for that, you need a bit less peaky sharpness, more of a warm fuzzyness. and work on your phrasing - less same-ness, more variation in speed on the high-note-licks (like @1:20 and following), eg 3-2-2-3 instead of 5-5

tone is not very stoner like

Ever notice that it sounds too similar to Wolfmother?

loving your tone here ... it's got such a sweet classic ring to it - alot of stoner rock guitarists I've met just focus on being really bassy

what the hell is stoner about this?? You don't even look half-stoned!! :-) go look at Goatsnake videos. now THAT's stoner rock.

Stoner is played in C tune, not in E...nice riffs btw

@takamineplayer55 Ive got a 75watt version, and I got my favorite tone for that amp. Here are the settings: Metal, drive-10, bass-10, mid-5, treble-8, channel volume-5, reverb-3. no effects. i also have the tone knobs on my guitars at 0, and in the treble/ryhtem position

@takamineplayer55 You cant find a good setting because you need a nice oldschool tubeamp cranked up!! Thats the only way to get the REAL Sound you need for Stoner/Doom. Only Tubes are dirty, muddy, dynamic enough to do this. A Fuzz is also very helpfull, old Univox or sth.
it would sound awesome a little bit slower with a chill drum beat and a sick bass line

nice guitar dude! and nice riff! i don't like EMG's for stoner shit.. they're great for metal with metal kinda distorsion sound.. your sound is very digital, and bright, are you using a noise gate or something? i;m more a fan of old school vintage fuzz sound, big fat matamp with an old big muff or something :P
