This empty garbage train hit a bridge in the Bronx, NY near Yankee Stadium. You see several trains heading toward Grand Central Station through the wreck area. Its a good look at the aftermath of train vs bridge. Stopped MN for a while in the AM but the MOW crews made a path.
This is a tribute to all the MOW crews who keep thing moving
I took this one on my way from work at Lincoln Hospital in the Bronx back in 1998.
The story I found out at the time was a high load that came down for Selkirk New York you can see atleast two other's that are high loads. You would think that it would have set off some detector soem where.
Overheight train mis labled for Oak Point instead of Oak Island.

This was probably the garbage train that is loaded on track 14 of Grand Central.

@nhlives Explains the short trains. All Hudson line diesels which run to NYC are at least 6 cars, and more likely 7 cars long.

This has to be quite old, The old "M" is on the cab car with Metro North Commuter Railroad instead of the new MTA Metro-North Railroad. My guess is late 90s/really early 00s, since the Genesis is there.

If I had known this about a week ago... I like how they slowed down the subway for the workers' safety. Good work, MTA!
