Polarization Filter hack for Eee Pc

WARNING: This process may not be reversable!
Removing the polarizationfilter will cause the original filter to be damaged,and at best could be restored by replacing the filter of your screen(and purchasing a new filter);
Seeing that polarizationfilters usually are pasted like stickers on the TFT, You may end up having stains, or airbubbles under your screen!!

(I'm not responsible for any damage of your device!)

That being said, this is about removing of one layer of polarization filter on the screen.
This is good for when you don't want people to see what you're doing on your pc.
Might work with other mobile pc's as well.

It's a quick recording, so please bare with the occasional hiccups and errors.

Thats absolutely amazing :) I wish I had seen this a week ago :p

I guess thats the part on my screen that messed up when i dropped it. This would have allowed me to fix it. Currently it i just have the MotherBoard loose on some foam. Hehe. Awesome video regardless :)

I actually used this because I messed up the filter doing the brightness mod (flashy screen).

This idea was second to the idea of just cutting the filter in the shape of my screen (kind of a variation).

you dont need any polorized sheet or glass. on every lcd surface it will be there.pull it from lcd using a thin blade. and dont try to remove remaing sheet with blade. hold the edge of the sheet and pull it. after separating clean the sheet with petrol or any paint remover. the best brush to clean this sheet is your thumb. tightly rub with you thumb to clean it. any big lcd display can be done like this

It is great man, I was alwazs thinking,like, I had to buy special glasses or additional filter on top of screen for that, but now I SEE :)

Anyway, wouldn`t it be great for you ti just add touchscreen on top of that depolarized screen?
