Mixing different genres of music for the mobile DJ

A mobile DJ doing a wedding function will generaly not do mutch beat mixing, but he/she will try to mix the sounds of each toon/ song so they work well togeather.

Toons are
1, "Get ready for this" 2 unlimited, 1991
2, " A little respect" Erasure 1988
3, " Stay" Sash 1997

  • I'm completely new to DJing, I haven't even got my system yet so all of my questions are gonna sound stupid. But, is scratching with CDJ systems the same as using vinyls or can you even scratch with CD's?

  • it's almost the same, if you want to scratch with cd you need players with what is known as vinyl mode. or for vinyl t tables ONLY!!! get direct drive! j

  • mixing on the radio is something diffferent than working as a mobile dj

u simply can't mix hiphop with trance by beatmatching

and if there are 10 people who want youto play 20 different songs it may become a bit difficult. on air you don't have this pressure

  • Impressive

Matching fades with the song while looking for the transitional point. Notice the fast fade when the beats per minute was quick. Then a slow fade to a slow melody.

    Excellent!
