Travel agents Thomas Cook ban the speaking of welsh. No this is not 19th century 'Brad y Llyfrau Gleision' when welsh children where beaten and forced to wear a wooden plaque with the letters 'WN' (Welsh Not) if they dared speak their mother tongue. No, this is the 21st century.
Protest was held outside Thomas Cook premises in both Bangor and Wrecsam.

@squirell1952 You completely miss the point. It's not our choice at all, never has been and never will be. The English did try to get rid of us, it's called GENOCIDE, which we survived. Did the Irish? No, you didn't. 21.7% of the Welsh population speak Welsh as a first language, and only 15% of the Irish population speak Irish at all. We had to endure the English for over 1000 years, you had them for about 300. So don't compare the Irish and the Welsh, we are very different.

@squirell1952 We've done nothing but fight for our language and culture since Roman times. If you want to see England's little whore, look north. There is alot less Scots-Gaelic spoken in Scotland than there is Welsh spoken in Wales. The Scottish chose to be England's bitch, we didn't. We were forced, subjugated, almost erased. It's taken everything we had just to survive, so what makes you think we can be independent? This country is too small. Our economy would crumble, amongst other problems.
