  • Fantastic video. Thank you for uploading it. I live about 150mi. from Sendai and ~80mi. from Fukushima Daiichi. I've been trying to keep everyone informed about events here. This video definitely does a great job summarizing what happened initially. Appreciate the upload a lot.

    本当にありがとうございました。

  • Miwako's walls were not useless, it did got breached eventually in the end, but it helped to slow down the tsunami, gave the ppl more time to evacuate. imagine if that walls were not there, how many more will died..

  • okay i'm really confused, the graph on 13:24 shows a top view, while before it was used as a side view. So which is it? The side or the top view?

  • does the whole japan feel the shake ??

  • @johnnytheprick YouTube doesn't allow it.

  • @4izm0v

i can almost guarantee it will, and why cant you post a link?

  • @johnnytheprick I can't post a link here, but a simple web search will locate it. Several University of Tokyo scientists expect a big earthquake to hit Tokyo within the next 4 years with 70% probability.

  • @FriedToast

"does a great job summarizing what happened initially"? my god, are you that naive? when your petrol gauge reads empty, what do you assume? everything is easy in retrospect.

  • computer simulation is not the answer people, build a real model and lets see how it stacks up.
