The reason that movies make things 'realistic' is because they are scared of alienating the public that isnt familiar with the characters. If they cant make a movie appealible to people with didnt read the comic, they wont make any money. It is not like I agree with this, but this is the only reason that movies about comic books are made.

Very simple. More realism -> less requirement for a suspension of disbelief. That's why people like Nolan's Batman and Singer's X-Men.

Now I personally didn't think the Galactius in the comics would work in a film so I was kind of hoping they would kind of change him a bit, you know be a little creative. But making him a giant cloud! Come on that has to be one of the laziest excuses of writing I have ever seen. It's like they turned on the TV and Lost was on and they thought that would work.

You should check out the Ultimate Galactus Trilogy. You might liek that. They make Galactus a bit more realistic.
