@mlightbui dongsang doesn't really have a specific gender. But when you actually go into detail dongsang means younger sibling/younger friend/or it means younger brother. If you put yuh in front of dongsang ( making it yuhdongsang ) it means younger sister. Do you get it?

@keikeiloser1 yes, i agree maknae means youngest, but it does not mean youngest sibling. it just applies to the youngest in any group. for example, the middle child in the family can still be a dongsaeng, but they cannot also be called maknae.
