Thank you for sharing Clara - my old landlord never threw anything out and my mother said that's because he was a child of the Depression - then she explained to us kids how bad it was back then :( He used to buy food off the budget cart at the supermarket, would stack tons of margarine tubs and newspapers all over his house! It left a life-long impression on me.
Great stuff. I really appreciate having access to methods of cooking vital to survival in tough times. Even during times of plenty like today, I still love to cook frugally most of the time. It's a shame that I learned of your channel only just now. Time to catch up!
