I agree with anthony on most parts here..... I feel like there are a few parts where it lacks, but overall this album is really good.... strong 6 is too low, probably like a moderate 8 for me......

I have listened to songs from this album almost everyday for the last year....it's music that is truly art...

Not much can compare to boxer, but some
Tracks on here try, and succeed for the most part (read sorrow, terrible love, some others).
When I think of the musical apocalypse occurring all I can think of is grabbing by Boxer LP and running.

@skimaniac05 what's the others that you'd give a 10 to??

It is a great album, but after owning it for a bit over a year its not quite as dynamic as Boxer IMO. I like to think of it this way; there are some really awesome tracks on High Violet, but all of Boxer is just incredible.
High Violet earns an 8.5/10, but Boxer is one of maybe three or four albums id give a 10/10 to

It's as boring and as grey as I EVER heard a record being, even Bloodbuzz Ohio IN the album doesn't stand out as it gets dragged down by the lameness of the other songs, the stupid lyrics that are just whiney, laments of everyday problems, all the songs that just seem like a knitted scarf. Great job for making an album that sounds like one big song, but I don't care bout it.
Clearly not my cup of tea... also, worst European debut of an American band

This album is grey, because America is grey.
The National have got to be given credit for, if anything, their accurate picture of the current social landscape. Characters in The National songs aren't extraordinary or anymore unique than any random person on the street, but that's sort of the point. Maybe our society produces, in general, mediocre people.
Here's to The National reconnecting truth and art.
