At Nielsen's Consumer 360 conference on Wednesday, June 16, Chris Anderson, Editor in Chief of Wired and the author of The Long Tail, and Free: The Future of a Radical Price, will debate the true costs and impact of free on the internet and the media marketplace with Malcolm Gladwell, staff writer for The New Yorker and the author of Tipping Point and Outliers.
@askaichin ln all honesty I have since changed my mind. David Simon convinced me. Gladwell is right and so are you.

@sirpickles Well that's not fair though
he has a point
I mean, think about it: there is no such thing as free lunch, right?
any kind of content, any good or service costs something
somebody has to pay for it
if you want your news or your music or whatever to be of good quality, somebody has to be making it
and you can't just expect people to make a good quality service without being paid for it
