Many people ask me.. why electronic drums? The answer... because its fun!! If you look at my kit, it isn't like most drum kits.. the cymbals alone add a very unique look! (pintech visu-lite series, in smoke grey) and everything works flawlessly! Combined with mesh heads and a Roland TDW-20, I can play anywhere with great sound.. even in an apartment!! plus, with the touch of a button, I can have an entirely different kit! Granted, nothing beats the feel of acoustic drums, but nothing beats the versatility of Electric V-drums... and it is a one-of-a-kind drum set!

  • @Drumaster78....actually the Pintech gear has all the position sensing.. plus they look awesome. i use a concert cast pad for my snare.. and it works flawlessly! i highly recommend Pintech over other electronic percussion out there.

  • @retrofroidy.. awesome man! Lorrie and brian are such a help and the friendliest people! i have learned alot from them! i posted my email below feel free to email me if thats easier... so what kind if module are you going to be using with your new Pintech gear?

  • @ retrofroidy... thank you so much for the compliments man! you are going to love your Pintech gear! Lorrie and the whole crew there at Pintech are so awesome.. and they work so hard to put out such an amazing product! the Visulites are by far the best feeling electric cymbal on the market! let me know when you get them!

  • if anyone would like to talk shop on drums... feel free to email me.. tonycassidy@att.net

  • Thank you for all the kind words everyone!! to answer a few questions... yes the sounds you hear are all from the TDW-20... not using v-expressions.. i personally tweeked the sounds using the eq and compression settins. but everything you hear is right from the TDW-20 itself..

  • One Question...could you please post a video that has a room mic? I wanna see just how quiet I can be with this kinda kit. I mean I do live in an apartment but even eKits with their vibrations are horrid. I'd like to HEAR your massive chops on the mesh and rubber if you wouldn't mind. this is ANOTHER HUGE selling point IE the incredible loudness dif...maybe just cut out the audio from the module in post edit for a min or two then back in a few times to get an idea. Thanks!!

  • @tonybslamin Nice work

  • Thanks for the answer! Pintech and real drums hardware are very nice looking but I would not choose it as you lose some kickass features as Positional Sensing (snares and ride), don't you? TD-20X/TDW-20 forever!

  • @tonybslamin

Will do Tony! I have already found Lorrie and Brian @ Hope Drums to be so helpful and great to deal with! Getting excited! Hopefully when i get up and running i might be able to post a vid myself :) Keep em coming mate!!
