No, I was hiding behind the window (coward?!). I knew I could get good shots of the marina without risking expensive gear. I could also upload quickly and Channel 4 News picked up a few seconds of the Part 1 video.

Thanks for your comment. It was a bit easier for me because I could shoot out of a window with a long lens and the camera on a tripod - until the rain made it impossible to see out!

I remember that storm, I live in portsmouth, UK and here the wind was probably 70mph

Ahhhh you were behind a window? No I was down on the actual pier, not fun! You are not the guy I spoke to with the long lens camera are you? He said he was a photographer but not so dedicated to go any furthur down. :)
