... ammmmm comics DO have violence, racist and sex: They aare not for kids!!!!

@Papavoodoo7 I know this comment is a month old, but if you're still looking for comic books for a young girl might I recommend Runaways and Young Avengers? They feature characters as young as 11, and so don't feature the sexual exploits, gore and graphic violence you might expect from more adult titles. They also have great female characters who I personally, at a similar age to your daughter, found inspiring.

I was so wrapped up in the discussion it took me a while to realize the video had ended. I hope you do more of these. :)

Are you serious? She actually pulls a whip from......there?

don't worry anime fans get it worse

@JimmyKitty Yes, but you would have a hard time arguing that that line was designed to do anything other than titillate.

@THINKAboutTheINK I know this is late, but I only just discovered this channel. Here's how I see it. It's the Mass Effect fiasco all over again. The media has this ridiculous idea that certain entertainment mediums are for children only. Although, I have to admit sometimes the artists take it too far with the costumes. Having said that, personally I think the whole Amanda Waller thing is way worse anyway.

It's funny how a video about porn got u the most views

Actually, BOMB QUEEN (or Dynamite's line) is not "basically porn". That would mean the books are a platform for sex & nudity. Things are implied in BQ (just like Catwoman) but nothing is shown in any of the 6 VOUMES in print. Granted, there are wardrobe malfunctions but that only applies to the one character, not the series, supporting cast, or the story. She's a villain *not* a heroine. In fact, she's not even human, she's the essence of evil which is why she acts so immoral; it's her nature.
I don't even read comics but I love this show so much.

@Grabehn42 That's very cool. :) And that's awesome you tried this show even though you don't read comics!

Clearly fox news was grasping at straws however as the parent of both a teenaged boy and a adolescent girl I struggle with some of the costumes of female characters. (Grace which books would you suggest for a 10 year old girl because I'm clearly in over my head I thought I could get my kids into comics after watching The Avengers Earths Mightiest heroes.) Do adults need quality comics to read yes, but little girls should not have to be made to deal with outlandish portrayals of the female form

@Papavoodoo7 Hmm, I suggest going with trades. That way it's a good long read - like a book - and trades tend to stand out for good stories while monthlies often have to rely on gimmicks. I suggest Batman Year One, Superman For All Seasons, X-Men Age of Apocalypse or New X-Men (this features a psychic affair but nothing graphic). As for monthlies, try Ultimate Spider-Man. Also, I did write a mini-series called Marvel Her-oes, which was aimed at her demographic. Hope this helps!
