  • wasnt this song in that old droopy cartoon when the little red riding hood sings it but instead she sings "oh woofy"? it sounds so similar but i cant find this episode anywhere

  • I have no idea but that would be funny.

  • too smooth and slow for me ,of course by 1939,swing has took over .

  • This is just one of those classics and this version was a very popular one in its day.

  • i agree entirely, the trouble with my site is i have tried to put every type of music on ,oblivious to whether i like it or not .sometimes the more well known are great and sometimes i like the lesser known.

  • I usually only post records that I like first. I do like to post my favorite artists too.

  • RIP Orrin Tucker. 1911-2011

  • Popular when I was in 6th grade; brings back memories.

  • @bex271 Her name was Imogene Lynn. It was not by Disney though - it was a Tex Avery cartoon from MGM.

  • does anyone know who sang the "oh wofie" in Disney's 'Swing Shift Cinderella"?...looove the voice of the lady there

  • Wee Bonnie Baker

  • Whereas Wee Bonnie Baker was the singer on this -- and other Orrin Tucker songs such as "Billy" and "You'd Be Surprised" -- Orrin himself was the lead singer on many of his orchestra's recordings.

  • Swing Shift Cinderella (1945) and again in Little Rural Riding Hood (1949)

  • The cartoon is from Tex Avery but it's called swing shift Cinderella..I think it sounds cuter with the "oh wolfie" lyrics...:)

  • Today February 17th is Orrin Tucker's

    98th Birthday!!!

  • She also sang an Irving Berlin song called You'd Be Surprised. Madelyn Kahn sang it on a tribute to Irving Berlin on His 100th birthday in 1988. Its on YouTube. It seems like Madelyn is doing an imitation of Fanny Brice.
