  • does the sensor hurt?

  • @thehorsefreak2010 It depends on your body type, I don't have much fat so the insertion does hurt me because the needle is longer than the infusion set needle I use. Once it's inserted, it is definitely worth it!

  • send the minimed back it is the worst pump on the market get the wirelesss much easier to use the answer is THE OMNIPOD minimed is the pain in the but. the omnipod makes life as close to life with out diabetes as it gets. omnipod customer service is a billion times better than minimed. also the omnipod will be available with the sensor in 2 months

  • I did this video based on my experiences with the Medtronic pump, which is the only one I can speak for because it's the only one I've been on for seven years and have never felt the need to look elsewhere. If you do wear the Omnipod and it works for you, that's great. It's wonderful that we all have options, and we can each choose what we feel is best for us. Thanks for the input. I did this video to educate on pump therapy in general, and hope it did that for viewers.

  • Amazing! So informative!

  • Thank you!

  • I just got a accu check combo insulin pump 3 weeks ago .. and REALLY everything is much better than before and my blood sugars are much better through the whole day ... I can't wait untill I know how my long time result will be next time ..! Everything is really much better! Now, I am from germany and I do not have to pay for the pump ...but I heard that in the us its kinda difficult with the health fund ?!? do u have to pay for the whole set up etc??

  • I find this really interesting...how much does the bigger needle hurt compared to the thinner needles?

  • Thank you Leslie! It depends on which company you decide to go with and insurance etc...every case is different. I'd suggest waiting until you get to where you're moving to first so you can get set up there and become familiar with the people who work for the pump company in your new area.

  • By the way great video, really explains and gives insight into being a teen and using a pump.
