What does healthy eating mean to me?

Presented by Gina Lagos (Vision Critical) and Tony O'Brien (Northern Foods) at Food and Drink Research 2011

As health and wellness trends change how consumers choose their food, brands have developed on-pack messaging to dial up 'healthy' product credentials. But what does the UK consumer take 'health' to mean? What are the health perceptions of prepared vs from-scratch food? How is nutritional on-pack information used in deciding on a 'healthy' choice? Northern Foods and Vision Critical work together to understand:

- What consumers really know about the functional health ingredients of different foods
- What messages resonate and how much detail is necessary n how the science can be translated into clear benefits on-pack and in campaigns

Gina Lagos, Senior Research Director, Vision Critical Tony O'Brien, Insights Manager Chilled Division, Northern Foods
