This isn't Generation One. It is a japanese series that was imported by Hasbro...and no, this has NOTHING to do with the old Transformers cartoon or the Beast Wars era. It stands outside of all TF continuities.

It's made by the same company of transformers though. I guess Megatron just had a thing for animals and decided to make some animal transformers and dispose of his decepticons until later in the series when he realised that his animals were stupid and made new decepticons
